What is a Catarct?

A cataract is when your natural lens becomes cloudy.  The proteins in your lens begin to break down with time which can be due to the normal aging process, UV light exposure or from systemic disease.  Most people over the age of 50 have some form of cataract which can range from not visually significant to symptoms which cause night time glare and a significant decline in visual acuity.

What is a Presbyopia?

Presbyopia is when your eyes gradually lose the ability to see things clearly up close. It is a normal part of aging.  You will probably find that you hold reading materials farther away in order to see them clearly.
